Sean Peter Forte

Sean is a Brooklyn-based musical director, pianist, and actor performing and creating new work in a variety of genres, styles, and settings. From 2023 – 2024, he was the associate musical director for Justin Peck’s ILLINOISE from Bard Summerscape to Chicago Shakespeare Theater to the Park Avenue Armory and ultimately to Broadway. In 2022, he was the musical director for Daniel Fish’s MOST HAPPY, a reimagining of Frank Loesser’s masterpiece, at Williamstown Theatre Festival. He is the co-adaptor and musical arranger-supervisor of FIGARO/FAGGOTS which premiered at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in 2025. He’s also currently an understudy at Broadway’s OH! MARY. Sean often works as a musician for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows that have included SUNSET BOULEVARD, CABARET, HERE WE ARE, and HADESTOWN. Fun fact: Sean was the associate musical director of the national tour of Fiasco Theater’s INTO THE WOODS, which remains one of his favorite jobs of all time.
