Disruption centers on Nick, a highly successful Silicon Valley tech entrepreneur who has just made a massive financial exit. He presents his three best friends with his next major venture: a complex algorithm that claims to understand human desires better than people understand themselves. Designed to seamlessly guide users through monumental life decisions, the algorithm quickly creates friction, testing marriages and pushing boundaries as the friends question how much control they should hand over to technology.
